By providing language solutions, we strive to help LEP individuals and service providers transcend the boundaries of language, culture, and geography.

Position Description
The Graphic Designer will have a key role in translating functional specs, mockups and wireframes into functional and appealing design, with a focus on usability and accessibility. The target will be both web-based and kiosk products – some experience in kiosk is preferred (if not, a desire to learn and understand the challenges of that environment is a must).

Key Responsibilities
• Turn functional specs, mockups and wireframes into fully fleshed out interface design
• Conceptualize and maintain a style that will be consistent across all products and will represent the LanguageMate brand
• Create visual collateral for marketing material, including product logos
• Design simple, distinctive iconography for visually oriented products

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in graphic design or related discipline preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in graphic design, with a focus on web
• Familiarity with and ability to comfortably work in a start-up environment
• Ability to design simple, intuitive and distinctive iconography
• Thorough understanding of typography
• Firm knowledge of usability and accessibility issues
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
• Understanding of web design, including HTML and CSS
• Understanding of or interest in kiosks and touch-screen interfaces
• Experience in design for interaction and information heavy applications is preferred
• Ability to take basic concepts and turn them into fully fleshed out designs
• Familiarity with the latest industry standards and a passion for great design!
